Dr. Yi-Chen Ethan Li

Yi-Chen Ethan Li is a faculty in Department of Chemical Engineering, Feng Chia University.
He received a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Tamkang Univeristy in 2006, after which he then obtained a Ph.D. in Institute of Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University (2013), with Prof. Tai-Horng Young. Dr. Li then joined in Prof. Ali Khademhosseini's group as a postdoctoral fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technologies, and Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. Then, he went to School of Light Industry and Engineering, South China University of Technology as an associate professor in 2017.
His group is interested in studying the fundamental researches of tissue engineering, developing artificial tissues/organs and organs-on-chips models via 3D bioprinting and microfluidic technologies. Through these researches, he wants to further apply the theories from fundamental researches and the developed models to the applications of drug testing/screening, developmental biology, biosensor, and regenerative medicine.
