Tissue Engineering
We design and use various micro/nano biomaterials to investigate the interactions between cells and materials. We also use micro/nano biomaterials to regulate the behaviors of cells/stem cells including the change of morphology, differentiation, proliferation, migration and others. In addition, we are interested in neural tissue engineering.
3D Bioprinting
We use various injectable biomaterials as bioinks to fabricate the constructs with specific shapes. Moreover, we also developed biocompatible cell-laden bioinks to make human tissue/organ-like constructs for further applications in tissue repair and organs-on-chips.
Organs-on-Chips
We combine the microfluidic technique and artificial tissues/organs to fabricate human-related disease models for drug testing. In addition, we further design high-throughput tissues/organs models for the applications of drug screening. We aim to develop various organs-on-chips models for facilitating the development of drugs in pre-clinical process.
